The first private asphalt facility in Mexico operated by Asfaltos Mesoamericanos S.A. de C.V, receive its first 2011 cargo shipment inbound from Corpus Christi, Tx., USA "YA LONG WAN" Hong Kong flag.

The 5,530 gross register tons (grt), 347.7 ft. length and 57.6 ft. wide asphalt ship, arrived the Port Multipurpose Terminal at 15:30 hours, to unload 5.832 tones of liquid asphalt performing the ship - storage tank facilities pipeline system.

Since its operation starts in April 2010, the Asfaltos Mesoamericanos asphalt terminal has received 7 ships with a total discharge of 37,674 tons of liquid asphalt import.

Asfaltos Mesoamericanos is a regional company leading the manufacture and sale of asphalt emulsions and waterproofing for the construction industry in the Mexican states of Tabasco, Oaxaca, Chiapas, Campeche, Yucatan and Quintana Roo.
