At the end of 2010, through the operation and handling of industrial and commercial cargo such as steel pipeline, bulk cargo and liquid asphalt shipments, the Port of Dos Bocas squeezes and intensifies operations at Multipurpose Terminal. These cargoes were operated by companies such as Holcim Apasco, G.E. Oil and Gas and Escudero Industrial.
With the semi-liner bulk cargo Service operated by Holcim Apasco and the arrival of M/V Ikan Sepat on December 08th, four cargo shipments and 73,457 pet coke and mineral coal are being registered from the United States of North America, firming up and positioning the Port in a worldwide range.
The Asphalt specialized terminal start up in 2010, operated by Escudero Industrial scheduled the arrival of its fourth liquid cargo shipment registering a total of 21,112 imported tons. The specialized terminal owns tanks for liquid asphalt storage and distribution.
Regarding the steel pipe handling, G.E. Oil and Gas company and branch office in Mexico, Vetco Gray, are developing joint activities for 2010 and 2011 reception of several shipments. At the end of the year, these companies operated 2, 799,39 imported tons from Houston, Texas.
With a high vessel reception capacity designed infrastructure and six years from its start-up Port of Dos Bocas through specialized loading and unloading operations has consolidated and earned its position as the best choice for any type of projects in the Gulf of México.
